Amy Lawrence

Amy is thrilled to be back with her POP family for yet another production! Previous POP performances: Into the Woods(Little Red), Viva la Mamma!(Luiga), La Calisto(Eternita), The Merry Widder(Blondie the Turkish Grisette) and Carmen(Frasquita cover/Lead dancer). In 2018, Amy was the soprano guest artist with the Hollywood Film Orchestra on their extensive China tour. Other regional credits: Hail Poetry! (Opera A La Carte) Zoot Suit Riot (Ca. Theater of Perf Arts), Gypsy (West Coast Ensemble Theatre), A Grand Night For Singing (Cabaret at The Magic Castle). At age 18, Amy was a Presidential Scholar in the Arts finalist and Music Center Awards Semi-finalist. She has vocal arts degrees from The Boston Conservatory and USC.

This production of Into the Woods marks Amy’s sixth production choreographing for POP having previously choreographed Carmen at the Ford, La Traviata, La Gazzetta, L’elisir D’more and The Merry Widder. Amy also worked with Josh Shaw and New Orleans Opera for their production of Tabasco, A Burlesque Opera. Amy currently runs her own ballroom dance studio in Los Angeles. www.amylawrence.com
