Claire Pegram

Soprano

Los Angeles-based singer Claire Pegram sings regularly with the Los Angeles Opera Chorus and can next be found as a featured soloist for LA Opera's May/June 2024 production of Turandot. Upcoming engagements also find Pegram joining the LA Opera Chorus for their 2024-2025 season in Romeo and Juliet and Ainadamar.


Ms. Pegram is recognized as a rising talent on opera and concert stages, alike. Most recently, Pegram made her Mission Opera debut in October 2023 as Manon Roland in the West Coast Premiere of Girondines, a new work in English. In July 2024, Pegram will make her Pacific Opera Project (POP) debut as the Foreign Princess in Rusalka at the Descanso Gardens. Prior opera engagements have included lead roles with the AJ Fletcher Opera Institute (North Carolina), Opera MODO (Detroit), Opera in the Ozarks (Arkansas), and the Franco- American Vocal Academy (Austria).


Ms. Pegram also routinely sings with the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Los Angeles Philharmonic for performances at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl under the batons of Gustavo Dudamel, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Zubin Mehta, and Grant Gershon.


Locally, Pegram is a rostered member of the Opera Buffs INC. and is also associated with the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Los Angeles chapter (NATS-LA), named their “Young Artist of the Year” in 2022 and also chosen to sing in a masterclass with star-baritone Lucas Meachem, sponsored by (NATS-LA) and the Opera Buffs, INC. in September of 2023. Pegram solos regularly with the Sierra Linda Master Chorale, First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, and the Vallejo Drive Church in Glendale, CA.


Claire Pegram received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute in North Carolina in 2019. She received a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan in 2016.
