Phil Meyer

Phil Meyer is thrilled to return to POP. Phil appeared as Sam in the company’s inaugural production of Trouble in Tahiti in 2011. Other notable roles with POP over the past 11 years have included the title role in Sweeney Todd, Osmin in the Star Trek themed The Abduction from the Seraglio, PooBah in The Mikado, Mr. White in the world premiere of The Monkey’s Paw, rocker Basilio in The Barber of Seville, and the Narrator in Into the Woods. Phil has appeared in major roles for Los Angeles opera companies including Mission Opera, Independent Opera, Repertory Opera Company, LA Met, Center Stage Opera, Vox Viceralis and Celestial Opera. When he’s not singing, Phil can be found performing as a Clinical Associate Professor of Field Education at USC’s Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work.
