Located in Highland Park, one of the hippest neighborhoods in LA, Pacific Opera Project's "home base" serves as our office space, storage space, rehearsal hall, audition space, and much more. This historic building is right next door to one of our favorite venues, the Highland Park Ebell Club. When we aren’t using POP HQ, it's available to the public for rehearsals, small performances, recordings, film shoots, music lessons, and more. ABOUT THE SPACE

About the Space

This 33x41 foot space is perfect for rehearsals, small performances, recordings, and film shoots. Just next door to the Highland Park Ebell Club, this building was built in a similar Westcoast Prairie style with original wood floors, a vaulted ceiling, and a beautiful chandelier in the center of the room

Pricing: $450/day, $100/hr for under 4 hours, $75/hr for 4 hours or more. This includes rehearsal space, two bathrooms, and a food prep area. 

Accessibility:

  • This building is fully wheelchair accessible.

  • This building does not include a private parking lot. However, there are metered lots immediately adjacent to the building, as well as free and metered street parking.

  1. Please email rentals@pacificoperaproject.com with details about your rental inquiry including: 

  • Type of event

  • Dates & time frame

  • Number of event participants

  • Any additional relevant info or requests

  1. Responses will be sent within 48 business hours. Once your rental has been approved please fill out and sign the attached rental agreement and send it to rentals@pacificoperaproject.com.

  2. To confirm and reserve your event dates, send the deposit payment (50% of total rental fee) via:

  • Check (preferred) mailed to 125 S. Ave 57, Highland Park, CA 90042

  • Zelle or Bank Transfer

Q: Who can I contact if I have questions? 
A: Please contact POP by email at rentals@pacificoperaproject.com. You should receive a response within 24 hours.

 

Q: When is POP HQ available for rent?
A: Please reach out to us at rentals@pacificoperaproject.com to inquire about current availability. We usually respond within 24 hours.
 
Q: Are there limitations on the hours or time of day that POP HQ can be rented?
A: In general, POP HQ is available to rent between the hours of 8am and 10pm Monday-Friday. Saturdays are available from 8am to 5pm. Rental parties must specify which hours they will be using POP HQ on each date. Some exceptions may be accommodated, with advance notice. 

Q: What are the rental fees or packages, and what do they include?
A: $450/day which includes the POP HQ rehearsal space, two bathrooms, and food prep area.
 
Q: Are there charges for overtime?
A: Yes, please see our rental agreement for details. 

Q: What’s the maximum number of occupants for the building?
A: 120
 
Q: Will the site ever be rented by multiple groups during the same time)?
A: No
 
Q: Is outside catering permitted?
A: Yes

Q: Is alcohol permitted?
A: Yes, but wine & beer only. No hard liquor is permitted.

Q: Are candles or other open flames allowed?
A: No.

Q: Do you allow smoking?
A: No.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Please see our rental agreement for details on this.

Q: Are there limitations on decorations?
A: Nothing permanent! This includes staples, screws, etc. in the walls.

Q: Am I responsible for any of the cleaning?
A: Yes, please leave the building how you found it.

Q: Can POP provide any on-site staff during events?
A: POP can provide limited staffing for an additional fee. Please inquire for details.

Q: Is the space handicap accessible?
A: The building, including bathrooms, is wheelchair accessible.

Q: What are the parking options?
A: The building does not have its own parking lot. There are public metered lots, metered street parking, and some free street street parking near the building (generally a 0-5 minute walk).

Q: Can I come earlier (or the day before) to drop off items or to decorate?
A: You may drop off items early on the day of your rental, but not the day before unless specifically approved ahead of time by POP.

Q: Who is responsible in the case of broken, stolen, or damaged items?
A: POP claims no responsibility for the loss or damage of the personal property of renters or their guests. Renters must provide liability insurance for their event. Please see the rental agreement for details.
